Using a plastic pry tool, start on the passenger side area.

Slip pry tool between plastic trim and carpet

lift gently and be cautions not to scratch the trim.

Repeat this step on the driver-side corner.

Lift the corner of the carpeted engine cover.

With all the 2 corners released, we can now lift the whole front edge of the carpeted cover. The metallic engine cover is partially visible.

Remove the cover via the trunk.

The metallic engine cover is now fully visible. There are 5 screws to remove with the 4 mm Torx driver (red circles).

-
Now is a great time to clean up all the dust in the engine bay and inspect for any fluid leaks.
