Introduction
Sooner or later, everyone will have problems starting their 911. The first place to look for trouble in your starting system is your battery. The battery is perhaps the most important electrical component on the car, and due to its design and nature, it is perhaps one of the most troublesome.

The battery is located in the front trunk compartment on the Carrera. Turn the plastic tie-downs to remove the black plastic cover

Remove the Cabin Filter Cover and Washer Fluid Cover

Remove the Negative Battery Terminal. This located on the driver side of vehicle.

Remove Postive Battery cable

Remove Vent Tube

Loosen and remove battery retaining bracket and bolt

Clean the battery terminals as well as the cable terminal with a wire brush or battery terminal brush.

Install the battery clamp on the lower passenger side of the battery and tighten it to 17 ft.-lb.

ReConnect Positive Battery Cable , Tighten to 3.5 ft/lb

ReConnect Negative Battery Cable Tighten to 3.5 ft/lb
